How to Apply for a Canadian Firearms Licence as a Minor
To apply for a Canadian firearms licence as a minor, you must be between 12 and 17 years old, pass the Canadian Firearms Safety Course, and have a parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative sign your application.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: You must be between 12 and 17 years old.
- Canadian Firearms Safety Course: Successfully complete the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and associated tests.
- Parent or Guardian Signature: A parent, legal guardian, or someone authorized to act on your behalf must sign your application.
- Waiver Option: If there is no one available to sign on your behalf, you can request a waiver (exemption) for this requirement.
- Additional Signature for Minors Over 14: Minors aged 14 or older must also sign the application themselves.
